My Missionary Mother

This is my mom, Kathy LeBarron. Isn't she a babe?! She is currently a missionary in Thailand, answering a calling God has on her life; to fight in the emotional and spiritual battles against people trafficing, prostitution, and slavery. More than ever she is needing our help to cover her, and the team of people she is working with, in prayer. To find out more, and follow my mother on her journey, please visit her blog: kathylebarron.blogspot.com

Just for fun

Before the twins...when we thought one baby was challenging.

The Walter Crew

Our family! Taken in October. It's a little hard to get a family picture when you are the photographer and also the subject. Here's to a good effort.

S.O.S.

If anyone knows how to rotate pictures in a blog please give me a shout! I rotated them on my computer and then posted them, but sure enough they posted crooked. Until then you'll just have to tilt your head.

Codie Rae

Codie Rae is so much fun! She has developed her own little personality and quirkiness. I took the following pictures to provide examples of the funny little things she does.

Hey! Look what I found!

I blogged this about a month ago and then I thought it got erased by my precious, but devious, two year old. Good news...I found it. It was saved in the "edit posts" section of my blog, which I hate to admit because it exposes my technical stupidity! It's a little dated already but for the sake of celebrating it's retrieval, I'm posting it!

I was sitting here thinking about all my 2010 new years resolutions that I've set for myself (and already broken) and I decided that what I need is some accountability...and possibly a nanny. Then I remembered an email my artist friend Carol recently sent me about making sure to acknowledge all that you have accomplished in the last year. It may not have been the resolutions you had set for yourself (or it may have- if so, keep it to yourself! I mean, good for you!) but I bet we've all done some great things somewhere in the 365 days that structured 2009. It might be better for us to start there and pat ourselves on the back before we go on micro managing and restructuring our lives to accomplish a whole new set of goals for this coming year. I've titled my blog, "The details that matter..." for a reason. What was it...oh, give me a second...oh yes! Life isn't always about the big things, it can be a compilation of all sorts of little things- ie, the details. Sometimes not, but sometimes so. Some details we need to savor and treasure. Those would be the ones I am hoping to collect on this blog. Some, we need to dismiss so we can keep on keepin' on. All the rest, the stuff that we call the daily grind, well, here is my advice on that:
  • Don't let the man get you down.
  • Live and learn.
  • Just do it.
  • Make it work.
  • Carpe diem.
  • Breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out.
  • Go, fight, win!
